Members and friends are invited to attend a workshop on the ins and outs of picture framing with senior member, artist and professional framer Graham Hall. Graham will run down all the information you need to know in order to have your work framed appropriately, from stretching canvases to dry-mounting photographs, from laminations to shadow boxes, and everything in between. We will look into archival materials and talk a bit about some of the costs involved in having something framed. With over a decade of experience in the framing trade, Graham will be able to answer any questions you may have, from the specific to the hypothetical, arming you with the knowledge you need to make an informed choice about your framing needs.
Please note that this workshop is informational only and will not involve demonstrations in DIY solutions.
Graham Hall has been a member of articule since 2003, and is a graduate of OCAD (drawing and painting, 2000). Since 1996 he has worked on the technical side in museums and galleries, and since 2008 as a full-time professional picture framer.
