Jasia Stuart: “If and when I consider myself an artist it is with the hope that this ‘trade’ is heavily linked to being a free agent, a trickster and in relentless pursuit of whimsicality. I do what I do, which is often but not always, draw, cut up, paint, cook, collaborate, collect, think, read, write and wash my hair but not necessarily in that order. I do this from my house, the street, the subway, and a studio filled with battling musicians, most of which happen to be in Montreal, most of the time.”
