Carl has been drawing since he could first hold a crayon.  Those early days left a fascination for colour, and voyages of the mind.  His current collage work reflects his fascination with colors, textures and travel.  His collages, created continuously from his studio, embody the spirit of appreciation for , and a penchant for appropriation of, the graphic cultures of contemporary global graphic culture.  They are made with ephemera collected from around the world, and many were even created in the far off lands which provided their source material.  Carl continues to produce a significant body of collage, drawing,  photography, and printmaking.  Carl is currently an active member of both Atelier Circulaire and articule artist run centres in Montreal.
