Shanna Strauss is a Tanzanian-American mixed-media visual artist currently living in Montreal. During this 3-hour workshop, Shanna will share some of the mixed media techniques she uses in her artwork including photo transfer, stenciling, and wood burning. www.shannastrauss.co

As part of Unceded Voices: Anticolonial Street Artists Convergence, this discussion will focus on the art practices of the participating artists as well as the artworks they will create as part of the event. The themes of the invisibility of Indigenous women artists/2Spirit/Queer and Women of Color in the street art world and the importance of decolonial practices in the art world will be addressed in this discussion facilitated by Lindsay Nixon.
