Projet populaire looks at the social role of the artist, with the objective of finding an ideal project, allowing any visual creator to raise enthusiasm amongst its fellow citizens.  To achieve this goal, Mathieu Jacques will conduct public consultations, using a large microphone and a small camera. With the help of articule special projects, he invites the public to reflect on this question and share ideas by taking part in a series of interviews.

Mathieu Jacques will analyze the answers collected with the tools and methods of the visual artist, through processes common to drawing, print media and video. A visual language emerges from these repetitive gestures that reveals the links between various possibly contradictory opinions expressed in the interviews. Thus a popular project is developed through the unified voices of the community.
