articule general assembly

 

Saturday 19th of January at 1pm at the Mile End Library 5434 avenue du Parc

 

articule invites its members and the public to its next General Assembly. This meeting will be an opportunity for articule members to discuss upcoming projects for next year. Each committee will propose their ideas to discuss them with the group. We will discuss all of the projects together, prioritizing the ones that the membership finds most interesting and those that achieve the objectives in our strategic plan. Through this group discussion we hope to insure that the way we distribute and use our resources is decided collectively. In order to be in good intellectual shape for this amazing day, the meeting will be held on a Saturday afternoon.

 

We truly hope that you will participate in this exercise that will inform what articule will be doing in 2013-2014. We hope to see you there!

 

mandate: articule is an open-access artist-run centre dedicated to the presentation of a broad range of contemporary practices. Through our various programming channels, we strive for artistic excellence, interdisciplinarity and social engagement. While special consideration is given to emerging artists, we also respect those who have already established important precedents, who continue to test the limits of aesthetic gesture, and who commit themselves to the ideals of experimentation and risk-taking. articule supports discursive and alternative activities that promote dialogue and build networks with local, national and international artists, collectives and organizations. Our open structure encourages the direct participation of an active and diverse membership on both programming and organisational levels.
