Saturday April 30, 1pm -4pm
As part of Lire Montréal
In French, with English translation available
Through the language of cartography Emmanuelle Jacques uses aesthetic qualities as a starting point to question representation, occupation and territorial limitations, whether real or fictive. Although they are often perceived as an objective truth, geographical maps, even those produced through high end technologies, portray a distorted representation of the world.
Using stamps, participants will be invited to create a map of their wanderings in the environment they inhabit.
Workshop open to all (children accompanied by an adult).
Materials will be provided.
