New media web launch, screening of short videos and discussion
In collaboration with the NFB and Crossing Communities

Please join us to view videos made by women whose voices are rarely heard speaking out on challenging topics.

 

LookingInSpeakingOut.com, Crossing Communities Art Project's website, presents collective videos made with women and youth which explore social change through new media and online dialogue.

 

Montreal Artists Jessica MacCormack and Rae Spoon joined Crossing Communities to make participatory video/sound projects with women at Chez Stella, an organization who forwards rights for Sex Trade Workers. The resulting work from this collaboration will conclude the screening.

The screening will be followed by Speak Out, a public discussion with first speakers from articule, Chez Stella, and more.
